Meeting with the participants at a designated location in Milan (to be confirmed and communicated), followed by departure by coach.
During the journey, stop at the Sanctuary of La Verna, a sacred site set in the heart of the Casentino Forests National Park, renowned as the place where Saint Francis received the stigmata in 1224. Visit of the Sanctuary followed by lunch at the Pilgrims’ House.
In the afternoon, continuation to Assisi, in the beautiful region of Umbria, one of Italy’s most celebrated cities for its history, spirituality, and rich artistic heritage. Arrival and accommodation at a hotel in Assisi (or nearby), dinner and overnight stay.
2ASSISI

Breakfast at the hotel.
In the morning, guided tour of the historic center of Assisi. The visit includes the Basilica of Saint Clare, Piazza del Comune with the facade of the Temple of Minerva, the Cathedral of San Rufino, and above all the renowned Basilica of Saint Francis, a true masterpiece of Gothic art. The complex is composed of two churches: the Lower Basilica, where the tomb of Saint Francis is preserved in the crypt, and the Upper Basilica, adorned with magnificent frescoes by Giotto and Cimabue.
Lunch at leisure.
In the afternoon, visit (without a guide) to the Basilica of Saint Mary of the Angels, home to the small 9th-century Porziuncola chapel and the Chapel of the Transitus, the place where Saint Francis passed away. Dinner and overnight stay.
3ASSISI / MILAN
Meals included: breakfast
Breakfast at the hotel.
After breakfast, departure for an excursion to the Convent of San Damiano and the Hermitage of the Carceri, the peaceful retreat where Saint Francis and his first companions would withdraw for days of silent prayer and meditation.
Lunch at leisure.
In the afternoon, departure by coach for the return journey to Milan.
