  1. 1Milan - Ferrara

    The day begins with the departure by coach from Milan and the arrival in Ferrara in the morning. Once arrived, there will be check-in at the hotel and luggage deposit. Afterwards, a guided tour of the historic city center will take place, during which it will be possible to discover the main landmarks and monuments of Ferrara.

    Lunch at leisure.

    In the afternoon, there will be a guided visit to the Pinacoteca Nazionale di Ferrara, located inside the famous Palazzo dei Diamanti. This museum houses important works from the Ferrarese school dating from the Middle Ages to the Renaissance and displays paintings by artists such as Cosmè Tura, Ercole de’ Roberti, and Garofalo.

    Afterwards, the group will visit the Castello Estense, one of the symbols of the city. It is a large medieval fortress built in the 14th century by the Este family, characterized by four towers and surrounded by a moat filled with water. Inside there are historic rooms, frescoes, and ancient prisons that tell the history of the city and the family that ruled it for centuries.

    Dinner at leisure. After dinner, the group returns to the hotel for the overnight stay.

  2. 2Ferrara - Milan

    The day begins in Ferrara with breakfast at the hotel, followed by check-out. Afterwards, there will be a guided visit to the Jewish Cemetery of Ferrara and to the Certosa Monumental Cemetery of Ferrara.
    The Jewish Cemetery is one of the oldest and most important Jewish burial sites in Italy and is connected to the long history of the Jewish community in Ferrara. The Certosa, instead, is a monumental cemetery built in a former Carthusian monastery. It is known for its cloisters, sculptures, and artistic tombs that make it an important historical and cultural site.

    Lunch at leisure.

    In the afternoon, there will be a guided visit to Palazzo Schifanoia.
    This Renaissance palace was built for the Este family as a place for leisure and entertainment. It is especially famous for the “Hall of the Months,” a cycle of frescoes representing the months of the year with mythological and astrological scenes. Today the palace is an important museum that preserves artworks and decorations from the Renaissance period.

    Later in the afternoon, the group will depart from Ferrara and travel back by coach to Milan, where arrival is expected in the evening.
