The pilgrimage, in its deepest essence, is the metaphor of our existence condensed into a few days, an experience that aims to lead us to discover the truth about ourselves, others, and God. We set out to find ourselves and encounter God; we set out to find God and encounter ourselves.

Biblical Pilgrimages: The heart of a biblical itinerary always involves listening to the Word. These programs traverse the Holy Lands, those marked by the experiences of the people of Israel, Jesus of Nazareth, and his early disciples. The current borders of states often do not respect the intertwining of biblical history. Hence, a centuries-old institution like the Custody of the Holy Land, whose name already indicates the area of interest, extends over Israel, Palestine, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Egypt, and Cyprus.

Marian Pilgrimages: In the Catholic world, the figure of Mary has an unparalleled popularity compared to other Christian denominations. Many shrines are pilgrimage destinations where believers draw messages for their conversion and understanding of the world we live in from Mary’s past apparitions. Each of these shrines has a specific “message” left by Mary. Our programs in Lourdes, Fatima, Czestochowa, Loreto, and Medjugorje primarily emphasize this ecclesiastical reference in the specificity of the message emanating from that place.

Paths of Faith: If the Church is defined by the Second Vatican Council as the “people of God on a journey,” we must consider that walking and the journey itself are not just physical practices but activities that somehow help enter into a relationship with God. Our journeys aim for the tombs of saints or apostles (Santiago), the chair of Peter (Rome), or the empty tomb of Jesus (Jerusalem), reached with the spirit of the disciples of Emmaus.
