1Day 1 Milano

Meet the guide at Malpensa airport. The driver is going to help you load your luggage onto the private bus and you will start to visit the city, known as the economic center of Italy and the reference point for the fashion industry all over the world. A sightseeing tour is planned, with photographic stops around the modern districts and recently renewed areas in town, such as City Life, the “Bosco Verticale” and Gae Aulenti Square. Free time for lunch and then conclude the sightseeing tour at the Darsena, the ancient harbor of Milan where Naviglio Grande and Naviglio Pavese meet each other. The area is nowadays one of the funniest nightlife centers of the city. Finally, you will be transferred to the hotel and accommodation in the rooms, dinner and overnight.

2Day 2 Milano

After breakfast at the hotel, will start a guided tour of the Duomo Cathedral, the biggest one in Italy. Its construction started in 1386 and is still ongoing. It is adorned with more than 3400 statues, 135 steeples and you will be amazed by the beauty of the golden Madonnina on the top of the building. Then you can walk around the streets nearby: Vittorio Emanuele Gallery, the Alla Scala Theatre and the shopping district. After that free time for lunch. In the afternoon you can see the places where Carlo Acutis was at home: the church of Santa Maria Segreta, where he was a parishioner and a passionate catechist, and the school he attended (external visit). Finally a guided tour of a masterpiece of the Italian Renaissance: the Last Supper by Leonardo da Vinci in Santa Maria delle Grazie. A UNESCO Heritage you can’t miss if you stay in Milan.

3Day 3 Milano/Firenze

After breakfast at the hotel, leave for Florence, Tuscany. When arrived, some free time for lunch and in the afternoon free time at your disposal in the city center. Check-in at the hotel, have dinner and overnight.

4Day 4 Firenze

Meals included: breakfast, dinner

After breakfast at the hotel, visit the city, which has been the cradle of the Italian Renaissance where lots of well known artists such as Michelangelo, Botticelli and the great Leonardo Da Vinci have worked. You will go through Santa Maria Novella Church, Repubblica Square, Signoria Square, Uffizi Gallery, Ponte Vecchio and all workshops on it. We will enter the Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral. After some free time, we are going to enjoy an exclusive view of the city from Piazzale Michelangelo belvedere.

5Day 5 Firenze/Bolsena/ Orvieto /Assisi

After breakfast at the hotel, heading to the lake of Bolsena where a Eucharistic miracle took place in 1263 and after which the feast of Corpus Christi was established for all the Latin Church. The Eucharistic miracles were a real passion for Carlo Acutis, who underwent the elaborate task of publishing on the internet a website about them. We visit the ancient church of S. Cristina, where the miracle occurred, and then drive on to Orvieto. The magnificent Gothic Cathedral of Orvieto was constructed specifically to house the miraculous corporal, with work spanning three centuries (1290-1591) crafted by great masters like Luca Signorelli. Some free time for lunch is planned during the visits. Finally, you arrive at the hotel for accommodation in the rooms, dinner and overnight.

6Day 6 Assisi

After breakfast, start your day with a guided tour of Assisi. Your first stop is the Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli, which houses the revered Portiuncola, a small chapel that holds great significance in the life of St. Francis. This humble chapel is where St. Francis founded the Franciscan order and where he spent much of his time in prayer and reflection. Next, visit the Basilica of St. Clare, where you can see the preserved remains of St. Clare and the crucifix that
spoke to St. Francis, inspiring him to a life of poverty and service. Our tour continues to the grand Basilica of St.Francis, where the Saint’s tomb lies. This basilica, with its stunning frescoes by Giotto and other renowned artists, offers a profound insight into the life and legacy of St. Francis. Carlo Acutis was profoundly devoted to Saint Francis and spent a lot of summers in this town. In the afternoon you can walk the cobblestones of this lovely medieval town, having free time for lunch and for yourself also. In the evening Holy Mass at the Church of Spogliazione, nearby the place where Saint Carlo Acutis rests in a stone and
crystal tomb.

7Day 7 Assisi/La Verna/Milan

After your breakfast at the hotel, departure by coach. During the journey, stop at the Sanctuary of La Verna, a sacred site set in the heart of the Casentino Forests National Park, renowned as the place where Saint Francis received the stigmata in 1224. Visit of the Sanctuary followed by lunch.
After lunch you transfer to Milan for check-in at the hotel.
