  1. 1MILAN / LANCIANO / SAN GIOVANNI ROTONDO

    Morning departure by coach from Milan to San Giovanni Rotondo. Stop in Lanciano to visit the relic of the oldest Eucharistic Miracle, dating back to the 8th century. According to Catholic tradition, during the celebration of Mass the consecrated Host turned into flesh and the wine into blood. Free lunch. Arrival in San Giovanni Rotondo, best known as the town where Padre Pio lived and carried out his ministry, one of the most beloved saints of the Catholic Church.
    Hotel check-in, dinner and overnight stay.

  2. 2MONTE SANT'ANGELO / SAN GIOVANNI ROTONDO

    Meals included: breakfast, lunch and dinner

    Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, excursion to the Sanctuary of Saint Michael the Archangel in Monte Sant’Angelo. The sanctuary is also known as the “Heavenly Basilica” since, according to tradition, it was directly consecrated by the Archangel Michael. It holds the title of Minor Basilica and is one of the main centers of devotion to Saint Michael, together with the Sacra di San Michele in Val di Susa and Mont-Saint-Michel in France.

    Return to the hotel and, after lunch, guided half-day tour of San Giovanni Rotondo: the Convent of Santa Maria delle Grazie, where Saint Padre Pio lived and died; the new church designed by architect Renzo Piano; and the Wax Museum, where the life of Saint Pio is presented through faithful reconstructions of the most significant moments of his exemplary life. Participation in religious celebrations. Dinner and overnight stay.
