3MILAN / MONTICHIARI / PADUA

Following breakfast, depart for Montichiari, a serene town in northern Italy known for its deep Marian devotion. It was here in 1947 that Pierina Gilli, a local nurse, reported a series of apparitions of the Virgin Mary under the title “Rosa Mystica” (Mystical Rose). According to her testimony, Our Lady appeared asking for prayer, penance, and sacrifice, particularly for the sanctification of priests and religious vocations. The messages attributed to these apparitions emphasize devotion, reparation, and spiritual renewal.
You will have time at leisure to visit the Shrine of the Mystical Rose, a place of quiet prayer and reflection that welcomes pilgrims from around the world. The shrine area includes spaces for private devotion and contemplation, offering an atmosphere of peace conducive to meditation and spiritual recollection.

This morning is dedicated to visiting the renowned Basilica of Saint Anthony of Padua, one of the most important pilgrimage churches in Europe. Built in the 13th century shortly after the death of Anthony of Padua, the basilica houses the saint’s mortal remains, venerated by pilgrims from around the world. Known affectionately as “Il Santo” by the people of Padua, Saint Anthony was a Franciscan friar and renowned preacher, celebrated for his profound knowledge of Scripture and his care for the poor. The basilica itself is an architectural masterpiece, blending Romanesque, Gothic, and Byzantine elements, and richly adorned with chapels, frescoes, and important works of sacred art.

Later, depart for Venice. With a local guide, enjoy a panoramic tour of the “City of Canals,” including the splendid Piazza San Marco, the majestic St Mark’s Basilica, and the historic Bridge of Sighs. After the visit, return to Padua for dinner and overnight at your hotel.

Breakfast at the hotel. Depart for Altötting, Germany’s most renowned Marian pilgrimage site. Every year, more than a million pilgrims come here to venerate the famous “Black Madonna,” enshrined in the beautifully adorned Chapel of Grace, and to experience the town’s serene spiritual atmosphere.
Lunch will be at leisure, giving you some free time to relax and enjoy the surroundings.
After the visit, return to Munich, where you will have time to rest before dinner at the hotel. Overnight stay in Munich.

8LUCERNE / EINSIEDELN / ZIRICH

Departure for Einsiedeln, an important pilgrimage destination in Switzerland and home to the renowned Einsiedeln Abbey, a Benedictine monastery with more than a thousand years of history. Founded in the 10th century, the abbey grew around the hermitage of Saint Meinrad and today is especially known for the Chapel of Grace, which houses the venerated Black Madonna, a dark-skinned statue of the Virgin Mary dating from the 15th century. The present abbey church, rebuilt in the 18th century, is a splendid example of Baroque architecture and continues to be a major center of Marian devotion in Central Europe. Upon arrival, visit the impressive abbey and its beautiful church, with time for personal prayer and reflection.
