Meeting in Milan, loading of luggage onto a private bus, and departure for Civita di Bagnoregio. Lunch and visit to the village, perhaps one of the most magical places in Italy. Situated atop a tuff hill and accessible only via a narrow pedestrian bridge, it offers one of the most spectacular views in all of Lazio. Nicknamed “the dying city” due to the constant erosion of the tuff rocks on which it stands, this town, halfway between Orvieto and Lake Bolsena, has Etruscan and medieval origins. Continue to Viterbo, check-in at the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.

2Day 2 Viterbo

Breakfast and a day dedicated to visiting the city of Viterbo with its medieval historic center, one of the largest in Europe. Known as the City of Popes because they took refuge there from Rome between 1257 and 1281. Entrance to the Cathedral of St. Lawrence and the Papal Palace, the symbol of Viterbo, built specifically for the transfer of the papal seat from Rome in 1257. Lunch during the tour, return to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.

3Day 3 Bolsena / Montefiascone / Orvieto
Meals included: breakfast, dinner
Breakfast. Departure for Bolsena, a picturesque village located on the northeastern shore of the namesake lake, the largest volcanic lake in Europe. Visit to the Basilica of St. Christina, where the Eucharistic miracle took place in 1263 and where the blood-stained marble slabs are preserved. Continue to Montefiascone and visit the frescoed Church of St. Flavian and the Rocca dei Papi (exterior), which offers an excellent view of Lake Bolsena. Arrival in Urbino and free lunch. In the afternoon, visit the city with entrance to the Duomo, whose facade is renowned worldwide for its beauty. Departure for the return to Milan, arriving in the evening.
